Testimonials
"I started Ruth's online classes in lockdown. They quickly became a highlight of the week. The relaxation class on a Monday night is a wonderful way to finish the day, I sleep so well afterwards. Ruth gives very clear instruction so the class is very easy to follow . She is also very kind and welcoming. Thank you Ruth. x"

"I have done some classes online and have attended face to face classes too. I would highly recommend doing the Saturday morning online class. It is wonderful. The teaching is highly professional and I have learnt so much. I particularly like the calming and positive messages every week"

"I started going to Ruth's Yoga classes the beginning of this year because I needed to improve my posture, mobility and have some balance in my life. Ruth talks you through the movements, so calmly giving plain instruction and it is so fluid using gentle stretches, During lockdown the online classes with Ruth were so valuable to me, with her calming voice instantly helping to relax body and mind with gentle exercises and breathing exercises. Thank you Ruth I feel my posture, core strength and balance and mind are all in a better place, thanks to you. "

"I started attending the zoom yoga sessions with Ruth and yoga energise in January, 2021. The varied yoga sessions have had such a positive impact on my well-being as well as improving my posture. The breathing techniques shared throughout the sessions enable you to unwind and relax. Ruth’s calming voice and gentle approach clearly guides you through each session whilst explaining the different levels at each stage. I always feel energised, calm and relaxed following each session which has been so important during lockdown. Thank you Ruth."

Hello!
My name is Ruth and I started Energise Yoga following the completion of my yoga teacher training.
I am registered with Yoga Alliance as a Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga teacher.
I studied physiotherapy at the University of Birmingham and have worked as a physiotherapist in the NHS for the past ten years before moving into private practice.
I have practiced yoga from my teenage years, and have always had a love for movement, physical exercise and mindfulness. My interest in movement started from a young age, with ballet dancing and I qualified as a ballet teacher aged eighteen.

My understanding of anatomy allowed my yoga practice to develop further and I realised the importance of maintaining healthy joints during yoga.
This allowed my love of yoga, but in particular for Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga, to flourish!
I love combining my understanding of the human body and anatomy with teaching this fluid, free style of yoga.

I would love to share this style of yoga with you, and look forward to seeing you in class!
Do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

All abilities welcome in beginners classes, with no experience needed.
